Overview

A veteran of the accessories industry, Sara Naghedi launched her eponymous brand of designer handbags in 2016 to do her part to combat the unsustainable cycle of fast fashion. We fell in love with Sara’s mission–and her innovative woven neoprene handbags. That shared passion set the stage for a truly feel-good success story.

Public Relations

Our work began with boosting the profile of the Naghedi brand–and of Sara herself–through organic print and digital press outreach. Leveraging Sara’s stance as a designer and business owner bucking the trend of fast fashion, we helped Naghedi secure placements in profile pieces, op-eds, product reviews, round-ups and more.

Social & Influencer

Skoog also took charge of Naghedi’s Instagram marketing efforts, putting together monthly editorial content calendars, writing photo captions, researching hashtags and aligning posts with sales, product releases and availability updates.

Additionally, Skoog managed Naghedi’s influencer relationships, vetting potential partners to ensure they aligned with the brand’s image, and negotiating the ability to republish photography from influencers on Naghedi’s grid–supplementing the brand’s owned content with high quality UGC.

Affiliate Marketing

Ultimately, the relationships we built with publishers and influencers laid the foundation for an extremely successful affiliate marketing program. With no prior affiliate marketing experience, Naghedi looked to Skoog for a turnkey implementation, which included initial setup, as well as recruiting and vetting partners on an ongoing basis.

And we hit the ground running, rapidly scaling the program via media placements with publisher partners throughout the Hearst and Condé Nast networks. Then, we incorporated influencers by establishing Naghedi on the rewardStyle/LIKEtoKNOW.it (LTK) platform, which we plugged into our affiliate program. Within six months, the program had grown to encompass 10-15% of the brand’s overall ecommerce revenue–a testament to Skoog’s ability to navigate the rapidly shifting PR and media landscape, and achieve extraordinary results for our clients.
